Varies on the horse. Many of them are pretty rude though. If they're too aggressive they'll tend to get gelded which calms them down a fair bit, though with race horses especially that isn't desirable since it lowers their value as potential sires down the line.

It's a messy mixed bag.

You've got the 'vague feeling' type of familial shout-out. Whenever Bakushin and Kitasan Black interact, they'll both note feeling something 'familiar' about each other- Which never gets expanded upon, only really relevant to people who know Bakushin is Kitasan's grand-dad IRL. You'll also get plenty of interactions of Agnes doting on Scarlet, but they'll never just out-right say it's because they're kin.

Then you get the 'direct' types. Like the Mejiro's, who all openly acknowledge each other as family. Because other-wise it'd be hard to get around the fact that they're all wearing the same name. Goldship being related to McQueen is never brought up though (but is the writing room motivation behind having them mess with each other so much).

Then you've got the cases where the anime/game will invent family for the horse girls. But even those figures will tend to be references to trainers, jockeys or owners in some way, shape or form.

I had decent success from getting her to inherit an A in pace and trying to build skills and stats around pace. Got 1st in almost everything except some trash race early on and the Arima Kinen (2nd place), but ultimately jobbed at the URA Finale Finals. I presume my mistake there was that I didn't get enough skills on her, and ended up with more stamina than was necessary due to having some nice stamina skills--too many stamina skills, even.

I don't have a consistent build at all, it was only my second run with her. I only had to use one clock on the spring Tenno Sho thankfully, so I had a couple left for the finale races but it just didn't work out. I think the beginning of the career probably hurt a lot in the long run maybe. She only finished 4th in her debut race and then when I was getting fans for the next goal she was running horribly in the races. I feel like I wasted too many turns having to do extra races instead of training. You should have seen the autumn Tenno Sho though, she ran an absolutely perfect race, I was so proud.

McQueen is difficult because her unique skill while strong is super finicky to activate. It *only* activates going around the final corner, and requires her to be neck and neck to another racer. This means there's two scenarios where it activates, either she's passing someone and the field is wide open (meaning she probably didn't need her unique to win and she's just flexing) or she's stuck in a crowd going around the final corner (meaning that there's a very high chance she gets blocked and the skill gets wasted)

You can kinda cheese her way to victory, you just put her as Front runner and just spam Speed stat. Her races are almost all Sprint so she won't need the stamina at all, and since she is running in front she won't need Power to push through anyone as long as she's fast as fuck, just adjust your cards to give front runners and sprint support.

You should aim for a baseline of 400 Wit so you can reliably activate skills, but you don't really need skills when you're 4 lengths ahead of everyone for the entire race. Like the other anon mentioned, medium/long distance sprinters need 400-600 stamina or enough guts to endure the race, but like I said, Bakushin only does sprint/mile races in her career.

I wish there's an actual stamina, power or speed bar that you can see during the race to get a better visual on how much you need for each type of race or race position so you can easily tell when your speed is dropping because you lack stamina or power to break through the pack for example.

Field of vision skills tend to be bad.
Green/Red skills are for specific case.
Most gold heals are good except for the one you got from Kiryuin in URA, that one is pure trash. Maestro is the best gold heal skill you can get.
Acceleration skills and speed skills with easy activation conditions are good and generally safe to pick.
That being said each strategy have their own reference of skills to pick.
