Also just having more characters in gacha is usually more fun than having a smaller cast of duped/powered up characters, just weigh those pros and cons out. Odds are good you'll stumble on Morgana or a dupe Ann eventually anyway, they're just standards so they're in tons of banners.

yeah the puzzles are really weird in this game, half of the time phantom vision legit tells you what to do and then the rest of the time i truly have no clue what the fuck the game expects out of me. the one that really messed with me in this palace was this room where you make the baseball turrets shoot baseball bits, hitting them unlocks gates and doors but there's no audio or visual cue anywhere so each time i had to run around like a dumbass to figure out what the hell i just unlocked

Kind of important, mostly because 1) he'll be the go-to for curse AoE for a considerable amount of time and 2) one of the recurring guild bosses is weak to curse so he's basically tailor made to be on the team for that fight. But also not necessarily all that important because you can still get through the story content fine without him if all you care about is just playing the game casually.
