I am once again asking for opinions on X Rebirth.
I didn't get any replies the first time, let's see if I'm luckier today.
>>714110060It's not permanent. Support has an automated system to remove games from your library but you can always bring them back through the same support system.
I just use private for all the porn. The real shovelware porn I added via keys from /v/ I do "remove" but I know my dumb ass will dig them up again some day out of morbid curiosity.
>>714109836God, I wish old games got 90% discounts.
>>714110575If you go through the support menus you can permanently remove the game from your library.
>>714110558I doubt you'll get any. X is niche as fuck and a lot of X fans including myself either skipped or refunded Rebirth because of how shit it was.
>>714110842Here you go dumb nigger.
>>714111232Yeah, I guess so. I know the game is very streamlined compared to the main X games, and it launched in a terrible state, but from what I've read they fixed and expanded the game through 3 years of updates and DLC.
I'm interested on it because I don't really care for the 4X elements on the main X series.

>>714109740You are a miser, your decisions are clouded by self-image of a savvy spender. You've pursued this historical data, and acting against the findings would imply that you are bad with money, or are being taken advantage of. But, exactly as anons who buy games only to never play them, your purchasing decisions are completely divorced from their immediate utility. The fact that you've raised the question proves that there is internal conflict between a subjectively favorable pricing and an arbitrary "principled" stance.

Worth trying, and while it isn't actually "permanently" deleted, it pretty much is unless you or somebody else goes through the support process to bring it back into view.

There was a puzzle game sale earlier this year, I got a 4 pack
100% bonfire peaks, still working on DLC's
Beat mooncage in 2 afternoons
100% the main campaign of Patrick's parabox, still have some bonus puzzles unsolved

>>714135040Have you played the other Resident Evil games? I'm a very big fan of the series and going into RE4R (or the original) without having played RE1/REMake and RE2 is going to rob you of some nice things. My honest suggestion to you is to emulate REMake and RE2 because REMake is a setup for the entire Raccoon City Destruction Incident and RE2 introduces Leon and his involvement. You can play RE2R instead if you don't want to deal with tank controls or older graphics as its a solid remake. RE3R is a bad remake in my opinion but if you haven't played RE3 you probably won't notice it like I did.
I would also suggest getting RE4. Its goofier but I prefer it and think its much more fun and the only thing better about RE4R is Luis and his characterization.

RE5 arguably has some terrible AI but I played on 360 with friends and I can stomach the bullshit now, playing solo because its pretty rewarding but I also played the series as it came out (I am old, in my 30's) so I can go back to the originals without issue. >>714136801Civ uses a hex grid format where ES2 uses lines that connect star systems. The factions in ES2 kinda railroad you into a specific playstyle every round you play. how the fuck did indies turn out to be even bigger kikes than corpos
>>714141248Dave the diver is overrated. It's a big studio that advertised itself as an indie to get sympathy buyers for a steaming pile of shit.
Planet Crafter is yet another crafting lifeless game.
I don't know the first one.
Sifu is good.
>>714141248You're right about Roottrees (you can play the older free version for a while if you want to demo it)
Dave the Slave suffers from feature/minigame bloat as you go deeper in but if you want something chill and mindless its still ok
>>714141302You're a retard
>>714141302Just pirate it, that's what I do when I see shit like that
>>714141379>muh inflationlol
>>714141302the pricing might have been a mistake, funnily enough even bigger companies have priced games/bundles super cheap by mistake and then change it when they realize they dun goofed.
House Flipper 1
Yes/no? What DLC's should I get?
Are there any fun god sandbox games? Which ones are your favorites?
Games with the best/most amusing ragdoll physics? Doesn't matter the genre
Thinking I may pick these up. Pretty set on Curse Crackers because I liked Veritus and Prodigal from the same dev. Just been meaning to grab the Daemon X Machina stuff for a while and was waiting on a sale so I can justify it to myself.
>>714140495Wrong, these bundles contain great games with good rating on steam
>>714142382most of it is shovel ware though no?
yay or nay on fear and hunger
Games with big titty girls?
Indie games preferably please
>>714142538if you don't like roguelites you're probably not gonna like it because there's a lot of trial and error and you can have hours worth of progress nuked.
I haven't beat it yet but I think it's an interesting game visually.
have you refunded any games yet
>>714109516>always replaying the same few games>see a cool looking new game>go to buy it to play>already in library>go back to replaying same games
How come I never see fighting games in people's carts? Is it a dead genre?
>>714142538Only if you install the mod for saving. The game is neat but suffers from tedious = hard mentality from the dev. This is their first game and the sequel is way more playable as an actual game compared to the first. The only way to save is a fucking hidden boss you have to look up on the wiki to ever figure out and you still have to beat a difficult boss to even save your game. No joke, you can lose hours of progress just because the game said fuck you haha.
>>714143141Fighting game "sales" only lower the base price a little and then charge you out the ass for DLC characters.
>>714108550 (OP)>Remember to ignore early access games, they are a creation of the devilTrue.
But you got to remember, every game nowdays is early access.
>>714142984>me playing REMake in one 4 hour sitting for the 2000th time
>>714143141Yes. Also what the other guy said.
>>714135173Speed mods or just CE.
>>714142538Just echoing what the other 2 anons already mentioned, the trial & error knowledge checks is just tedious and retarded (think 'replaying a few hours in any other game because it crashed and there was no autosaves' tediousness)
But decently fun experiences with cool atmosphere if you can get past that
>>714143141They're not made for the same types of people from 20-30 years ago. It's a multiplayer only genre for people that want to constantly improve and dissect the game. If you want to get into them, you probably already have your starter game which already eats up all your time. If you're a veteran, you probably already own the games you're interested in.
>>Remember to ignore early access games, they are a creation of the devil
early access honestly means nothing, you need to see it on a case by case basis. theres some great EAs out there
Ive played games that feel so fleshed out in EA that they already redeem themselves as a complete game, ive played titles that claimed to be severily incomplete but had far more content and substance than all of their competitors with much higher budgets. The sort of game that would have zero problem even if it never received an update again.
At the same time as ive seen EAs that were extremely shallow and lacking despite having far more budget, far more promises, far more track record from the developers, etc
>>714108550 (OP)Recommend me some knightly games.
>>714139423id say yes but i like sim racing and have a wheel, the game is like assetto corsa where if you aren't using a wheel it's kind of a detriment but it's doable

Anything I should remove?
>>714110558Huge X fan here. I enjoyed Rebirth more than I did X4 despite all the flaws game had because game still felt like a game to me.
I mean, what is there to talk about, X3 gutted a lot of X2 features like ability to man any turret you want and introduced shit like pilots but people in general like X3.
X4 is X cargo cult. Game was gutted to begin with, they cut almost all races and sold them as DLC and quality of said DLC was abysmal, basically ctrl+c ctrl+v with different coat of paint. They only put some effort into latest Boron race after so many complains. In general I had this feeling that game was made by people who looked at X3 and were told to copy X3 into X4 engine, result - cargo cult, brainless copy by brainless people.
redpill me on loseless scaling?
>>714147264Beware that you're gona be buying half a game with Mankind Divided.
>>714147623The Forgotten City - deep as a puddle philosophy lecturing that takes itself too seriously and comes off as pedantic and uninspired, the time loop mechanics are not interesting, get Outer Wilds instead.
>>714147264>The story and setting looks retardedThey are not. MD is like 1/3 of a game without the dlcs though. But a criminal past is GOATED, so there's that.
>>714147623>>714147708PSA that the Forgotten City started as a Skyrim Mod and the mod version is both better and free.
>>714147708I already finished Outer Wilds with the DLC...
>>714147676its a $5 scam gimmicky program that gives you double frames and gives the illusion of smooth frames, when in reality it just causes very blatant input latency.
notice how no one talks about LSS months later? its a gimicky program that even i don't use these days.
>>714147650Would you say Rebirth is immersive, anon? I know X isn't about story and stuff, but I mean things like NPCs having flavor dialogue, some lore about the world, that kind of thing. I know that you can walk on space stations and that's awesome to me.
By the way, the reason I'm thinking about trying Rebirth is because I don't really care much for the 4X elements the main series seems to have, some things I've read about X4 make it seem like a spreadsheet simulator. Rebirth is more streamlined, right?
>>714110558>>714147650Forgot to mention.
You can give Farnham's Legacy a try, was really enjoyable experience. It's free mod with separate Steam page. You need to own X3 to install FL BUT if you are cheap or whatever, you can buy X3 - install FL - refund X3 - FL will continue to work just fine (I think you can do this with any separate page mods that require base game on Steam)
Basically, modern day X game I can recommend are FL and Rebirth. FL for proper X feeling and Rebirth because it wasn't X per se but still was fun. X2 The Threat if you want to play classic to feel how it was to main turrets and before pilot cancer, bonus points for alien faggots with their lasers of death that actually pose a threat (lol) unlike X4 where they made return but as very cheap imitation (game is cargo cult, after all)
>>714148137To me it feels like they wanted to make X4 as something close to Star Citizen or Angels Fall First in gameplay where first person gameplay mechanics are more than just walking around and clicking on talking heads and pointless busywork but eventually gave up and cut it down to the minimum.
>>714147912Well, I wouldn't say that game is immersive on NPC/lore front and walking on stations will be disappointing experience because they are empty and just copy-pasted.
Game felt more like first-person space shooter than actual X game but since X main feature - base building autism, isn't your cup of a tea - X Rebirth may be want you are looking for yet game still have base building and you will be forced to build constructions for plot missions but overall you don't need to waste as much time on it as you did in previous games.
I think in Rebirth I spent more time boarding enemy capital ships especially since capital ship in Rebirth are actually CAPITAL than I did on base building. Also, it was fun to have small details like - whenever capital ship is moving all smaller ships nearby are moved to and you can stay near one when it begin to charge super speed (small ship have highways, capitals have super speed to fly between sectors inside massive sector) to fly with it.
>>714148289>AFFInteresting game, might get it
>>714148808Nta but which X game has the best boarding system in your opinion? Because it just sucks in X3, especially with autistic requirements for engineering and mining. If there's anything I can appreciate X4 for it's that it cut down on the sheer amount of pointless busywork you have to do before you can do literally ANYTHING.
>>714148957>for engineering and miningFor engineering and boarding. And having to spend an eternity training marines before they can even do anything at all. And M7 being the only ship type capable of launching boarding pods.

>reached Dark Cave in Iconoclasts
The worst piece of shit level I've played in the long time. I absolutely don't understand what the fuck I'm supposed to do there.
>>714148957I don't know, they are different and I enjoyed them all the way they are. In Rebirth it was fun because capitals felt like capitals, you fly around this massive ship, destroying turrets, destroying shield generators, doing mini-games during boarding. You can only launch marines from your ship, so there is no need for extra ships and for training you do so by capturing easy targets, like an RPG it is.
In X4 it felt too streamlined. You have hoard of ships with marines - you disable target - you order marines to capture - ship is yours - you send your ship to restock marines. It just never felt personal or interesting but it was very easy.
>>714149737nvm. I'm super retarded.
>>714149745It might give X-Rebirth a try later, I played a lot of X3 and never reached prominence in it because everything in that game seems to stonewall you behind hours of pointless grinding and to even use ships that can launch missiles you first need to build your own military-industrial complex. I want to play a fucking videogame, not simulate the reality I live in.
>>714142968riders republic because ubisoft launcher is a piece of shit and i wouldve had to change password or someshit to reset it fuck that thing im sick of it. not buying any ubisoft if i can help it, their only good game is anno anyway.
Gunfire reborn because it's pretty meh, not bad but nothing exciting to it. The reviews seem to be from people whove hardly played an fps before.
