It's one of the very few MP games in general that have a GREAT online community, and is a total blast to play even with total randoms.
Not only is the game literally engineered for co-operation (there's zero competitive elements whatsoever, everyone gets 100% of everything!), but even if you're an introvert with no mic, you can effortlessly communicate using the in-game Laser Pointer (pinging system) and the Salute button.
t. Clocking over 1500 hours and counting. Easily THE greatest co-op action game ever made. And believe me, I've just about played all there is, as co-op is my jam.
>less than 10k players>"dead"You okay in the head buddy?
Anyway, DRG ain't exactly a "live service" sort of game. It's much more pick-up-n-play fun. Easy to start, easy to quit. The numbers usually skyrocket during sales and seasonal events, but the fact is, the game's been out of Early Access for 5 years now, and the devs are already working on a new title as we speak, so huge changes won't happen any time soon no more.
