Take from things that you like and make something new with the conglomeration. Rather than seeing stuff like this and saying "this is a ripoff of X, Y and Z, therefore its bad" you should rather say "i like X, Y and Z, Im glad there is more stuff like it". Shit, why not do this yourself, AI and free assets works, youre more concerned with originality rather than making something at all. Truth is, you are not going to make the next culutral touchstone, youre not that special, just make the thing you like.

In Termina either Pocketcat or Perkele is lying to the player about Rher. Pocketcat claims to get direct orders from Rher, which means Rher is still actively observing Humanity while Perkele claims that Rher's presence left a long time ago and the moon is basically his dead body.
I wonder which one is right? I lean towards the pocketcats because their story is consistent between a massive time gap, and it makes sense for Rher to throw a big fit over Reila/Logic.

Conceptually some of the stuff is pretty brutal but at the end of the day it's (usually) being done to some 32x32 pixel art characters. Unless you're particularly disturbed by rape, sex, castration, etc then I don't see it really bugging most people who would go on this website.
Unironically I think something like Outlast is more viscerally horrifying if only because it's more realistic looking.

It's just meant to be dark and shocking, so if you don't want to be subjected to a horrifying dungeon where your character is constantly on the verge of starving then don't play it.

Perkele said that Rher left a long time ago, like all old gods, but their presences are obviously still here since we literally fight the traces of Rher and we can use their magic through ritual circles.

The rher sigils are only effective on some specific circles. It also gives you more affinity so you can get the rher skills of the hex, but I don't remember if they're good or not.

Rher sigils will EVENTUALLY give you a version of fast travel different from AlllMer portals, but it takes a minimum of 3 affinity.
You can try to make a save point and experiment to see what every sigil does since ritual circles are very limited and very useful

Yes, I noticed that as well. I feel Fear & Hunger is proof that an artist can rift something and make it into another thing. Here's to the Termina update coming up.

Normal is really fucking brutal. Pretty much every enemy can two shot me.

I ended up doing easy mode because the game screws you over if you don't collect the engineer girl first. She opens most of the doors for you, you get a second party member (extremely helpful), and that thing doesn't chase you through the buildings too during daytime of day 1.

Why didn't Termina 'click' as much as the first game? And is it true the fandom's gone full obnoxious Discord/YouTube retrospective? I haven't played the games since shortly after 2 came out

Once you know where all the good loot spawns and the tricks to certain enemies the game is fairly easy overall, and it shouldn't be too hard to do a saveless run after fully exploring the game on a first playthrough.

The knight girl is actually the best character in the game, she comes with armor and a decent weapon, the girl is mostly useless but she can tank some hits for you. Once you get a full party difficulty goes down severely.
