As bad as bethesda is, if you have ever played outer worlds you'd know this is a terrible idea.
I've played that and starfield and both are peak mediocrity, but at least starfield was somewhat more entertaining, but none of them deserved more than a 5, the space lesbians one shouldn't even get more than a 4.5 being generous.
And avowed is literally them doubling down on their massive mediocrity, yeah, the game was somewhat "innovative" in the combat system, but if the rest is peak mediocrity and the combat is repetitive, the product ends up being bad.

I'll never understand why it was successful at all to any extent ever to begin with. Granted that it has only ever really been successful in America. As someone who bought a console this gen for the first time since the PS2, the reason why I bought a Series X instead of a PS5 was simply because it had better backwards compatibility + FPS boost for lots of older titles that I've always wanted to play but never got a chance to in the past. I know PC is superior to Xbox, but PC is also superior to Playstation, so that's a moot point. I simply don't care about Playstation exclusives, so I'm left with judging both consoles based on their hardware and the services they provide. Which had Xbox come out ahead this gen. At least for me. If you don't care about backwards compatibility and you like Sony walking sims, then obviously you'd be better off with a playstation. I really don't get how people like you can get so passionate about what toy people choose to play games on.
