I've only played UT upon release and whatever knowledge I have of DR comes from what little I've seen of these threads, but I'd offer my house and wife to Toby if he wasn't a pussy and dropped all pretence with DR, cutting out all the Hussie-fan pandering and Tumblr faggotry and giving the game the style, tone and R18 content of Black Souls. Just completely alienate his fanbase of furfags and children to make the loli rape eroge he's always dreamed of. Then again, given what you've all been saying about the recent chapter, he might've incidentally done precisely that (to some extent).

Anon I'm going to explain this carefully because I know even if you play undertale multiple times you won't get it.
it's about letting go to progress. being satisfied with a game, and not grinding your soul away playing it. even the punishment run of a genocide, is only a punishment if you want to replay the game a 3rd or 4th time after even that, but all you hear is some shit on /v/ regurgitated by 100 zoomers so you think its about mercy or fighting. It's about moving on. every character learns to let go of something holding them back, it's the most basic writing technique and the game can be played in a few hours to completion.

It's more that he realized Deltarune was overly ambitious so he made Undertale instead. But because Undertale was so popular, now he can go back and make the passion project he's super duper interested in.
