Funny you say that. I have no ounce of art skill in my body, so I made a mock up using a shitty picrew maker. That picrew maker had no clothes. It wasn’t until someone on discord drew a pic of her with that outfit, and it just stayed.

Well here's the thing, a lot of male fans do, but their characters come off at times as more aggressive or broody and they get labelled as "edgy" and people stop posting them. They do try to avoid making them not act like Shadow and Sonic because Sonic and Shadow are basically mid-range male temperament. That's why you get extremes.

Someone makes a male oc that is inquisitive and nerdy, gets called Tails. Make a male oc that has a merc, slightly aggressive behavior, get called Shadow. Make a male oc that is optimistic or a class clown, it gets called Sonic. I guess it's just very very difficult to make a male oc and it's not worth the effort for most.
