Luckily the team seems to know that going for BIGGER sucks and doesn't anything. So rather then just adding in more and more area with banana that don't mean anything, they instead shrank everything down. Each sublayer feels more like a Sunshine area and each has its own challenge and objective. Banana aren't needed to progress, but instead help by giving you skills. So you feel compelled to find Banana, but can easily stop at any time just to go to the next stage. Structure is important and everyone that has played the game has commented on this and say that it feels much better then Odyssey did.

Nope. They scaled back. Because Banana aren't the same as Moons, they can make them less prevalent. At the start, Banana are pretty grouped together because they want you to get some quick skill points. After that, they get more and more spread out, with some exceptions. Your main drive is to get further down in the layers though, so if you don't feel like going Banana searching, you don't need to. Think more 3d DKC, rather then another take on DK 64. You get to a layer, you are given an objective and after that, you can access the exit. Some sublayers will have you fight a boss before being able to leave.

I personally got frustrated that it hurries you along to next stage by making collecting moons more than necessary for next level pointless. So if you want to 100% or darker side, you are supposed to rush to end to unlock all moons in levels.

I don't dislike it. It's a great game, lots of fun. I have quite a few problems with it but the main one is that it's excessively pandering, and in kinda subtle ways too. Many would think of the difficulty when you say something like "pandering" however it actually goes much further than that.

The entire game just feels devoid of any new ideas that feel fitting for a successor for 64 and Sunshine. I wouldn't go so far to call it soulless, but think of how many new ideas that those two old games brought and how many of them stuck around permanently. You can say the same for the Galaxy games to a lesser degree.
So what did Odyssey bring that was worth keeping?

You've misunderstood. Nintendo's GameShare feature is equivalent to Steam's Remote Play Together. Switch 2 is using their Wii U technology to project a second screen to an external device. The reason it works on the Switch 1 is that the host device is just a video receiver, it doesn't run any software locally.

The Void Company looks less blatantly like Koopalings at home. The left most one is literally Morton.

The Zebra and "flying" Ostritch forms look shit, they literally lazily re-used the frame and model for the angry/bigger DK form and just slapped different animal limbs, heads and colors on.
Also the best DK game was Jungle Beat. I liked DK Country Returns and yet never had a deaire to touch it again after beating it while with Jungle beat I've beaten it 5 times.

Brodals are something you would see in Looney Tunes. Not actually threatening at all, mostly seen as just there for the hero to humiliate. Void Co looks like late 90s to early 2000s villains. Humorous, but still with something behind them that makes them feel like if they stopped messing around, they could fuck you up. Like characters from Reboot or Beast Wars.

I would LOVE that. Like you have the final boss consume the Banadium Root and become a Giant Banaza. DK has to climb up them as you see them move across the planet's surface and you can see the lights of the city in the distance. DK breaks off pieces of the root that are sticking out of the body, eating it up, until eventually Pauline is able to make DK giant as well. Now you have a Kaiju battle in New Donk City between DK and the final boss in Giant Bananza.
