>>151251188 >What's next, Disney for Metroid?
Well, they own Fox now, and Fox makes the Alien movies, so that'd certainly be a wild full-circle situation
Not saying I WANT Disney to do Metroid, far from it, in fact

I've said it before, but I would have preferred a trilogy of Bros, World, then Galaxy. But Miyamoto isn't getting any younger, so he's probably doing it this way because he knows he's running out of time to essentially be Japan's Walt Disney (Even with the fact that Walt died in mis mid-60s and Shiggy's well past his now)
>>725295114 >mass layoffs
Because they don't do that >sales failures
Yes, they've had those in the past, but they know how to handle them better than everyone else, as seen here >>725295318

Remember when he said the game could get delayed because of an "anomaly" in development? And yes, I'll admit I did buy into that, if only because we weren't getting a release date for so long
>>724926840 >Nintendo was a distant third in the Wii U times >Microsoft was only second by default >Sony still had enough of a good rep from calling out Microsoft at E3 that people didn't care they were starting to get arrogant again
Funny how things change

If the second Air Riders Direct isn't then, that is. That could be a month before the game like Bananza's Direct was. Or it could very well be early November, I dunno
>tfw Sega legit wants Sonic to be ass successful as Mario >they're still arrogant enough to see themselves as a rival
Fuckin'... Samus Aran is unironically a more successful and beloved platformer mascot than Sonic. Sega, you can't even step to Nintendo's B-listers. Sit your ass DOWN.

If they're doing single-game Directs for the first-parties and Partners/Indies for everything else, I'd really like to think they'll do a Prime 4 Direct at some point. But the realist in me is thinking they'll just see the Gamescom demo (which will probably be the same as the Switch 2 event demo) as enough and they'll just say "Oh yeah, it's coming in 2025, we swear, never mind the fact that we don't have new content to show since April" throughout the whole thing

They just did a Pokemon Presents, so no way ZA's getting that much time to itself in a Direct. So maybe Air Riders instead, and honestly, a 20-minute Direct just about Prime 4 and that would be fine by me at this point
>>717780105 >announced without a subtitle. >It hadn't even began preproduction. It was a through and through nothing-announcement.
Now where have I heard that before

I fell for the Flipnote Studio 3D "leak" back when it was called Flipnote Memo. I was at a camp that weekend and was looking forward to getting it on my 3DS when I got back. Obviously, that didn't happen, so after that I vowed "Never again"
>>715464932
I don't see that or Tomodachi Life getting more info. This next Direct, if it does happen when Nate says it will (which, big surprise, I'm pressing X on that), may well just be them going "Alright, FINE, you don't like bananas or wheelchairs, here's your release dates for the other stuff this year, you happy now?"

I was just at Costco today and I can tell you for a fact that I didn't have to use my membership card when I got a hot dog. They know those things sell like hotcakes
>>714711982
Not to mention buying studios and then shutting them down because of those unsustainable budgets (which may or may not be tied to the wokeshit)
>>714221309
I got downvoted on Reddit once for assuming the game was made by the Odyssey team just by my observing, well, pretty much everything about it. Mind you, this was before they confirmed the fact. Should tell you everything you need to know about that site
>>712665276
The fact that Nintendo doesn't hold Metroid in nearly the same regard as Zelda (the former's section in the store should be proof enough of that) does make me more confident in the 60-70 pricing for the respective consoles. But then again, they could see stuff like the game running at 60fps at all on the old Switch as reason enough to bump up its price to 70, and the mouse controls and extra performance options would bump up the 2's price to 80 as a result. Now obviously, I don't WANT this to happen, especially since we've been waiting for the game for so long and still no solid release date in sight
