TWW HD was a sidegrade to me. It had some good QOL decisions but not a fan of the bloom that much, but it was fun to play through. Completing figurines alone was much better to do (btw impossible to get the Knuckle one in NSO).
TP HD fucked with the horse controls, underwater swimming controls, and visually looks horrible. Like a fan made “upscaled” textures that just did a batch conversion on everything.

If you look at sales, the pre-Wilds Zeldas were middling at best. The best game between the SNES and BotW was OoT and Nintendo consistently ignores it. Wilds has brought in a fuck ton of new players and this has given old players the hope for some of "their" games getting some love, but Nintendo's a ruthless enough business to know that's a bad idea. Given how involved MonolithSoft is in Nintendo's big productions now I'm genuinely surprised none of their games got the upgrade patches. Sure Zelda is the obvious one to get it but also Monolith are the code wizards of the company now so you'd figure they'd be tasked to make their big cinematic JRPGs look the absolute best to help showcase the issues.
I'd also like to see them just revisit the code for XB2 to deal with the memory leak once and for all.

I don't think that's quite correct, anon. They did help with topology in Botw and were much more involved in Totk that had to be rebuild but afaik that game uses Havok. Their in house engine is still used only for xenoblade games, they have been updating it since the first game. The performance of X DE (a game with lots of vertical maneuvering) is way too different than Totk. Also their games do not have heavy physics mechanics which is why they used Havok for the zelda ones. They still get involved with level design, a lot.
