My best buy had a shit ton. I walked in on launch in the afternoon and got one + Marvel vs Capcom collection.

i bought one, got lucky cause every store but one was sold out in my city.

By the time they make the sale, ebay is taking what, ~13% now on every final value, which includes the cost of shipping and taxes?

So by the time you sell it, the buyer is going to be paying at least $12-20+ for shipping.

I can't remember if taxes are included in the fees, if they're not you're paying to ebay 13% of around $670. That's an $87 fee to ebay, you're only clearing about 60-70 bucks per sale in profit. What the fuck is the point of this shit? Why are people scalping something for such little gain? I could understand if the supply was like nothing and they were scalping them for $800+, then at least you're making some money. But why would you scalp on ebay of all places? The fees are just going to destroy you. It only makes sense to do this on facebook marketplace or craigslist LOCALLY and sell them directly to the buyer with cash to avoid all taxes and fees.

Like honestly, not even clearing $100 in PROFIT on each scalped sale when you have to have enough cash to spend THOUSANDS of dollars on buying a bunch of consoles to scalp is pure retardation. Why not just take those thousands of dollars and put it in the S&P 500 instead? At least they would make more money over time doing that.

The "only for pick" stock was multiple times larger stock than whatever was available for pre-order. Was it a trick? Kinda, yes, but ton of people were able to buy Switch 2 during the 2-3 days it was available, and they're probably going to restock more of it soon.
