Microsoft is basically dead (has been but people pretend that there is still a chance) with them out who will take the top spot, and how will this change the landscape of the industry?
The things to look out for is how the console market shifts and who becomes top dog, and how third parties (especially the Jap ones) will act. Will they try to pick sides, or will they just go along with things? Back in the day they could shift market forces and actually get people to buy consoles now I don't see that being the case, but I could be wrong.

Nintendo is already raising prices as a sign of their monopoly. Snoy is as dead as California, and Xbox is firing 9000 employees as we speak.

Playstation has GTA 6. And Xbox is dead pretty much as of today. That is the ace card to anything that Nintendo thinks they have. GTA 6 will be bigger than pretty much all Nintendo games combined.

Nintendo will still be alive fifty years from now. Take a look into their history. They created all the trends in which everyone else follows. Their games and IP are usually quality with pure gameplay that doesn’t waste the player’s time. Their games are shorter and unbloated without open world slop checklists or movie gameplay. Nintendo games have the least wasted moments. They are enjoyable and fun to play.

That's why they all chase live service, digital only, MTX, season passes etc. Meanwhile Nintendo is the turtle, each generation they made more franchises over time. Valve has a big advantage against Nintendo. Nintendo needs to continuously create hardware to stay relevant whereas Valve can do hardware as a side project and still make gazillion dollars of revenue thanks to the superiority of their storefront and CS2 lootboxes.
Creating and designing hardware is super expensive which is why only Sony and Nintendo are still making gaming consoles, and Microsoft seems to be giving up like Sega did 25 years ago. Nintendo consoles almost died off after the Wii U flop, but thanks to the Switch they survived and thrived. The Switch 2 might be extremely successful now but if it or its successors, if any, lose steam (heh) Nintendo might be in big trouble. We might already be seeing this what with the Switch 2's launch titles and Nintendo's first party upcoming games being so anemic compared to Switch 1.
