Samus Returns on 3DS didn't sell insane numbers, but Dread was made and released. Metroid Prime Remaster was made and released. Prime 4 is being made and will be released.

I'm less worried for Metroid as the series has survived worse. What worries me is the Switch 2's future as a whole.
