But Fujibayashi's track record is fucking stellar as fuck and he has the best Zelda games to date under his belt. The Oracle games are pure fucking LUDO and the pinnacle of Zelda.

Skyward Sword was previously the weakest 3D game, and as good as OoA/S and Minish Cap are, they're no Link's Awakening and they certainly aren't good follow-ups to Wind Waker in terms of narrative "kino" or tone.

Link's Awakening is great. But the Oracle games are easily a pretty straight improvement on it.
And Wind Waker is great for its gameplay, less so for any narrative achievements. The narrative isn't really important.

And? George Lucas is simultaneously responsible for some of the best and worst sci-fi has to offer. Fujibayashi can be responsible for both great Zelda games that feel like the purest distilled essence of the formula, AND the make-your-own-fun, open-air, full of pointless collectibles, + half-ass crafting system garbage we’re currently stuck with.

The difference is the Oracle games are pretty much forgotten in veritable sea of Zelda newfags who haven’t and will never touch an entry prior to BotW, while the Star Wars OT is still considered one of the biggest touchstone moments of its craft.
