You could always just use summons instead of resorting to cheat engine. It makes it a little easier, but also adds a layer of unpredictability to things that can be its own challenge. You can also try changing your build if one play style doesn't feel like it's working. Mesmer is kinda Like Godskin Duo in that he's way fucking easier if you're bringing a big bonk weapon that can actually stagger him.

Deflecting tear is given to you right at the start of the DLC for a reason, all the bosses were designed to account for it. It's baffling to me how people will play the DLC and refuse to change their build with any of the new stuff they find. The Blade of Mercy talisman that's also in that first ruin right next to the deflecting tear golem is also super good. Just from that very first point of interest you get really good tools for defense and offense that are helpful for the entire rest of the DLC.

He has no balance.
Good bosses are balanced around a flaw or, if good at everything, are limited so that they're not tiresome.
Malenia can wreck face, but she's easily staggered. Godfrey is relentless and tanky, but has lots of slow AOE attacks he locks into that give you time to regroup.
Radahn has too much HP and keeps up too much pressure the entire time so that you really just don't get a flow in the fight. The only decent way to match him is to stack armor and shields and status effects and just ignore the entire maneuver and positioning aspect, because even if you could dodge roll everything, it just isn't fun for how long it'd last.

My two biggest issues with Dark Souls 2 are:

There's some other nuances lost in English like Marika's tribe all being women, too, which actually ties into a number of other subjects like the black knife assassins (and sadly people will say her dlc backstory ignores the part established in the base game).

The english traslation already highlights the differences and similarities, and "jar saints" are not "good person" either. Romina is the Saint who wields the Bud and communes with spirits, she is not an Outer God. Jar saints are those same spirits which is why they can be seen in this picture. That's what they call Saint, the literal grace filaments found in the jar innards

No, in the Japanese version it used the term for empyrean too. It was patched out in both languages.

The most likely reason this occurred is that in the game files ALL hornsent enemies are labeled with the Japanese term for empyreans, 神人 (divine person/god-person). The Grandam was mistakenly(?) given this in actual text before it was changed to horn-person (角人) like the hornsent are called in actual dialogue and items.
Assuming the Grandam part was just a mistake, it does still raise the question of why the hornsent are designated that internally. Is it just a development codename with no bearing on the lore, or does being influenced at birth by the Crucible actually make the hornsent in touch with the divine like the people chosen by the Two Fingers?

That's literally the entire point of the divine beasts bro. They are so in tune with the divine they become mediums for godly beings. That's false. They're called outer gods (外なる神) in Japanese too. You can predict what results you'll see if you google that. The GW being above the (ER) outer gods is consistent.

The exact relationship the Greater Will has with ER outer gods is ambiguous, but I think how the head piece representing it raises Arc together with Int says a lot.
As shown with the Elden Beast what the GW embodies is order (and in turn the frenzy flame outer god of chaos opposes it), but order comes in different forms like rot, and Marika's order wasn't the first one endorsed.
This actually has a lot to do with why the GW is so cold, and the differences between order and gold that are mentioned or alluded to.
