How the FUCK do you beat Welkin challenge? I'd do it if I knew what the fuck the game wants from me. It puts you in the scrawny mode by default, but unlike Tricera, this time you have the 3 available. I can switch to melee mode to parry him, and it seems to do a good damage. Until it suddenly stops parrying.
Like, the spin2win seems to be unparriable. Is that right? Plus it keeps spamming free stun, but I assume that can also be recovered from with a dodge, if you have energy.
Also, sometimes he just stops meleeing and switches to ranged weapons point blank. Well, whatever. But sometimes he also heals. Can Welkin do that? Or does its health reset because it's the game signaling that I'm not beating the challenge the intended way or something?
I just installed the game earlier today. Any advice?

that ability at a glance seems like its your runaway ability but the fact that it regenerates your armor and energy while making you untargettable means you can toggle it off and on all the time since if you press it off early its cooldown is only 3-6 seconds which makes it spammable but if you fuck it up thats your only escape option gone on a 15 second cooldown

Anyway, I just beat it. Ultimately it was about just manipulating the enemy AI. If it spins and you run, the trick to force it back into a parry loop was the boost attack. He starts parrying/meleeing after the first hit.
Hopefully the player Welkins don't have that same ridiculous damage output.

The gun is good now, don't discount. Instead of taking 10 years trying to wail on a super heavy like Tricera, just blow through its entire liquid armor with 2 bursts and also rail gunning it, so now your entire team can start doing true hp damage. been playing both. strangely enough, skyraider feels like it can stay in the air longer. maybe because the down loop takes so much energy. really warming up to skyraider. you can charge attack and the charge persists through the transform. so you end up always holding left click, constantly going into and out of fly and regular mode, just dumping beams and bombs like crazy while doing slow loops in the air. feels like skyraider does significantly more damage. falcon's primary more example is a light tickle. only wish the energy missile wasn't cucked so hard by tricera. it'd be a great change if they could make it invincible instead.

I'm surprised by it. I despised every battle royale and extraction shooter I've tried before, but the way Mashmak does it feels like it alleviates most of the issues that make me hate them.
No enclosing ring that forces everyone to a random point on the map and fight; only random no-go zones, like the original Battle Royale, which ends up making them a more involved element of the mode where you can skirt around the corite storms.
The population in a match is low and scale of the map is big enough that player encounters are rare and incidental, as a result more surprising and allowing for better environmental tactics.
The loot you pick up isn't critical gear and weapons you need to win fights; it's just treasure and you always have the means to fight.
And Mashmak itself is a well designed map that because of the gameplay, doesn't have any real no-mans-lands (unless there are storms in the right places and/or a guy doesn't have the energy to climb a mountain to escape an ambush).

Just about the only gripe is a select few robots are a pain in the ass to encounter if you're doing FFA and aren't a superior matchup to them. Like Aquila harassing people at the flight ceiling, Stego camping the final extraction points, and Falcon being Falcon. I'm starting to gravitate towards using Alysnes just for overall survivability against any other player.

Haven't gotten an answer yet. Did the full release add face animations to the ejection sequence? It was pretty jarring in the tests seeing the pilot flop around but the face was a statue.

I just fought an Aquila that knows he's supposed to be hipfiring Falcon and they require a lot more finesse to deal with. Have to use terrain well to deal with them or you'll run out of energy and get pasted. Yes. Go into training, fire an unscoped shot, then immediately scope and fire a shot and you'll see how much faster he shoots when you cycle instead of staying scoped. The best Aquilas in high ranks did this in previous betas and it made playing against them cancer, particularly for me since I main Luminae.

I think they made Narukami's escape much harder to track and he's far more elusive as a result. Good players are much harder to swat than they were in previous patches.

There is a ~1 sec right click hold which puts him into stance that acts as a tell, and during that state he is entirely open to ranged attacks.
He is also vulnerable to everyone else but the parry target meleeing him during the parry swings.
Using stealth to grab objectives is telegraphed by the golden line tracing to his model on capture points, but it is a bit broken on the key map where he can have the key and upload it while invisible without a tell.
He is the kind of mech that is very easy to counter once you understand how he works. He is not on the same level as welkin and aquila by a very large margin.
