What you dont get anything out of, is housework, in regards to the type of work housewives do, and how its being romanticised in this thread. Specially on the intelectual level, you can turn off your brain while doing housework.
Yes, you have a clean house and good food, but that is just survival. At least to me and my wife, that shit is just baseline, it doesnt do anything for us, emotionally speaking. Its something to be mantained.
I love my kids I would give my life for them. But a lot of this is not what you would call "fun". Its heavy work, big responsability, lots of scare jumps and fear. Its very stressful, even if you love them and its worth it, its no walk in the park.
My point is that the version anons have in this thread about being a stay at home wife is just a fantasy. Nothing in life is that simple.
