I'm getting tired of this meme, because while it's true that many women enjoy being "dominated" in the bedroom, it only paints a very one-dimensional image of female sexuality. My mother kept a lot of trashy romance novels around the house. Books that predate 50 Shades of Grey. Nora Roberts and Sandra Brown most commonly. I read a lot of them. The men in those books follow typical models - they're wealthy, brooding and aloof. They don't want to be around (you), but through happenstance are forced into (your) sphere. Over time, they bond with (you), and develop an affection that reveals itself at opportune moments culminating in at least two 2-page sex scenes. There is almost always a rival love interest, who is outwardly sweeter but has some ick or is revealed to be an asshole.
Choking never comes up. The most common sex act is oral, followed by vaginal penetration. I've only seen one anal scene, and it was explicitly for humiliation. A lot of times, the man will finger her, too. One particular passage from a book I read on the plane was how the male love interest, a "dark elf," was agonized over being soul-bound to the main character. He fingerfucked her while hissing how he, "hates how much I love you." Women love that stuff.
