Both vehicles have pathetic acceleration and mini turbo.
Lobster has the worst handling in the game. You're forced to go wide on stuff like Airship, Bazaar, Wario Stadium ending shroom cut, and so on.
Dread Sled still has bad acceleration (only 2 more than the above) and pathetic road speed. It's so bad that Toadette Baby Blooper has the same speed as you, but with +9 acceleration/MT and +6 handling. At least you get real speed on terrain like Moo Moo Meadows and yeah that's it lol

Question. I was told (early on when the game came out) to "stagger" my tricks when on rails until the blue mini turbo shows up so that I keep getting them over and over, yet when i look at world record runs for tracks the runner just spam jump tricks on rails nonstop.

Driving mechanics feel the best they have in a long time, but the player count and item balance raised the chaos factor exponentially.
