but the reason things like mcdonalds is popular is because it still provides at least above bare minimum something people value, something that is truly, truly slop does not survive and gets filtered by the natural selection of the social economy. just because edgy intra-culture retards on the internet recognize it has problems does not suddenly mean they've epically destroyed the credibility of a product completely. fallout as a brand is still growing to this day massively and has an entire family of products now like board games, TTRPGs, tv show and an entire universe of merchandising that takes more than just some sheep normies to fuel, that means actual real nerds like you that aren't addicted to retarded 4chan logic still like the series

actual true slop gets filtered like starfield did, if it truly provided no value and was only loved by sheep there would not be a significant fanbase still for bethesda fallout. pre 2011 there was fallout 3 threads on /v/ and outside /v/ there is still a significant bethesda fanbase. /v/ is not the entire internet because it's impossible to have threads on certain games and franchises on /v/.
