Source: Someone I know works for a certain company with an online PC gaming storefront

Nintendo are planning to release Xenoblade 1, 2, 3 and X on PC. Not sure if these ports are still early in development or if they're releasing imminently. But I would say from what I heard they're no more than 6 months to a year from release

The ports were pushed for by Monolith Soft rather than being Nintendo's idea. Not sure whether this is indicative of this being a one-off or if more games will be ported in future

My contact also told me they had heard of all 4 games potentially coming to PC Game Pass but can't confirm if that's day one or not

They reckon it will be announced at an upcoming Nintendo Direct although no info on when that will be

There are internal debates and disagreements in companies like Nintendo all the time, it's possible they agreed to just let Monolith port their games but won't do the same with Zelda, Mario etc. Similar to how Nintendo agrees to let the Pokemon Company push for mobile ports of Pokemon spinoffs (Unite, Champions) even though they would have the power to shut that down if they wished

Monolith Soft seems to me like the most "Un-Nintendo" development team under Nintendo's wing, so it wouldn't surprise me if their games actually ended up being the first to release on other platforms.

1 also emulates fine, I don't know about XBX on Yuzu/Ryujinx as I've mostly been playing Switch.

The only one that outright isn't that great to emulate is XB2, but even then you could say it's preferable over the launch Switch version which was really not a very good experience until they patched the game up. I've tested out XB2 in Ryujinx and it's fine. XB3 has 60fps and 2K mods that work great for it.

That being said Switch 2 is strong enough to where these games could easily get 1440p 60fps patches and run much better.

Monolith recently got 100% bought out by Nintendo so it's unlikely they port these to PC, but it's more likely than Mario or Zelda coming to PC that's for sure.

I don't want a PC because I like having a single device totally dedicated to games, where things just work, where every game is optimized for the hardware, and where I can sit comfortably on the sofa playing it.

But I'm not gonna do that. It's too much work. My PC is situated on the opposite side of my house to my big TV. There is nowhere comfortable next to the TV to situate an entire towerblock-style PC. And it would mean I can no longer use the PC as an actual PC unless I'm constantly lugging it between the TV and a desk/monitor.

There have been plenty of consoles exclusives where it barely runs at 30fps. Even Nintendo has started to slip lately whereas before they had a reputation of polishing their games thoroughly

Also you could get a PC you only use for games hooked up to your tv. You'll still have a device completely dedicated to games. only this device can actually run games at a stable framerate.
