The only reason I found out speedrunning as a community was a thing in 2019 or so was because my favorite video game experience was playing RE 2 on PS1 and later REmake on gamecube release and loving the game so much I'd do all the unlockables for the cool secret weapons and game modes that required you to complete the game under certain time or other constraints. So I'd do that for pretty much every survival horror I liked after that. Beat the game completionist then start running it to become ultra efficient.
