>Nintendo makes an open world game 15 years late to the party
>it's Assassin's Creed with a Zelda theme
>gets showered with praise across the industry for inventing open world games
>journos and some gamers claim it revolutionized game design
This felt really dystopian, have you ever experienced a big disconnect between what you observed about a game versus how it was received?
Don't get me wrong BOTW was a fine game, but all the unwarranted praise felt really odd, disingenuous, and propagandy
id genuinely like assassins creed if it werent one of those games where every action is magnetized
Minutes since /v/ cried about BotW: 0
>>714562773Correction, this is crying about BOTW's reception and not the game itself
You DO know the difference and aren't just a dronesnoy, right?
>>714562457 (OP)>assasins creedThere is 0 similarities between botw and assasins creed.
It really feels dystopia seeing posts like these. People who have never played any games hating on games they have never played
>>714562457 (OP)Assassin's Creed is shit.
>>714562919Which still rolls back around to you crying over BotW.
Raul, reset the counter.
>>714562457 (OP)>Don't get me wrong BOTW was a fine game, but all the unwarranted praise felt really odd, disingenuous, and propagandyWelcome to the power of branding. You're correct. The Zelda name was the reason it succeeded, not the genre or the gameplay.

>>714562457 (OP)congrats OP, you just realizing why zelda is the most overrated franchise of all time.
It's nothing like Assassin's creed except for the tower shit.
But I'll agree it's nothing impressive, in fact I would go as far as to say, it's actually not a good game at all, and I don't know why people pretend otherwise.
the towers were fun though because they all had a mini puzzle attached to them and at the end was a cool cutscene that launched you super high in the air and you could use the glider + rocket to fly super far or just glide normally
ubishit towers are just climb up, WOAH BIRD KAKAWWWWW, jump down into a hay wagon
I wanna say there used to be effort put into bait but there never was
I enjoyed BOTW, but now I'm done with it. I want old Zelda back.
TOTK was like microwaved pizza. You can eat it, but it ain't fresh.
>>714562457 (OP)Ubisoft should sue Nintendo for stealing their game ideas.
The fact it ran at 360p 15 fps while other games get relentlessly shat on for dips below 60 was pretty insane too.
how is BOTW like assassins creed at all?
>>714563701Op was explicitly not hating on the game. Don't use Kirby if you can't even perceive breakfast.
>>714563959Jesus you have an image of TotK's twitch stats saved?
>>714562457 (OP)>Lack of traditional dungeons>Weak story pacing and minimal narrative engagement>Breakable weapons discourage experimentation>Sparse enemy variety leads to repetitive combat>Copy-pasted shrines with uninspired design>Empty overworld despite massive size>Exploration rarely yields meaningful rewards>No real character or combat progression>Underwhelming, forgettable boss fights>Clunky UI and frustrating inventory systemIt is the most overrated game of all time.
Totk's situation was even more dystopic with article after article exaggerating its merits while it is an even worse game
>>714562457 (OP)>Lack of traditional penises>Weak libido pacing and minimal cumming engagement>Breakable dongs discourage experimentation>Sparse dildo variety leads to repetitive cum>Cum-pasted dicks with curved design>Empty orgies despite big dick size>Ejaculation rarely yields meaningful rewards>No real dick or semen progression>Underwhelming, forgettable orgies>Clunky UI and frustrating dildo systemIt is the most overrated penis of all time.
Totk's situation was even more dystopic with article after article exaggerating its dicks while it is an even worse gay
>>714562457 (OP)It’s worse than AC, AC on the ps3 had living breathing cities, bots has npcs standing in place in the cities giving repeated npc lines and goblin camps copied and pasted
