yeah combat sucks a little bit, but it's kinda old style RPG game where you gotta use all advantages you can get, for example abusing bow A LOT, just have your horse be brave enough to not drop you when enemies show up and then you can just ride on horse and show motherfuckers until they die. weaker enemies you can brute force by walking into them and if you're stronger you will win a clinch and they will take a lot of damage, you can repeat it all the time and after a clinch you can take a few good swings at them
also train with that Bernard guy, you should train with him a lot until you are strong enough to take part in that fighting event in the city

Just want a break. It gets a point where I’m not really enjoying it, just sort of feel like I’m doing it just to feel something. My family is also really Christian and I’m trying to give the Bible a try reading that, so I want to try and do it right you know? Also Alien Isolation is great. Got it for free a couple years back. The thing I love is how overpowered the Xenomorph is. He adapts and learns from you. If you hide under a desk and he finds you, he’s gonna be checking under desks from now on. You can’t sprint because it’s loud and he’ll hear it, you cannot use the gun under any circumstances. It’s a game that really rewards stealth.

Tried system shock 2 remastered. Its literally just the original game with mods. The movement is still incredibly floaty and will drop you off ladders and come off of boxes. The melee is still fucking broken. I dropped DF the first time I tried it. Picking it back up was a lot easier, because I already knew a little bit, so it wasn't so overwhelming. I played for years before the Steam version. I started a new fort, because they added some cool new sprites and reworked ranged combat. I want to start making clothes and armor earlier than I usually do, because most forts I'm playing catch-up around mid-late game.

You can still try it if you want. Also, forget what I said about the rival looking like Blue. There's a reason for that. Just got the Boulder Badge and witnessed the high-five Eevee gives you after the battle. This game is cute as fuck.
