>>714607428>doesn't mean it's a good idea thoughNever said it was, but people really overstate how easy it was back in the day. Outside of the postwar period in select countries it was not easy raising kids. It's a massive massive sacrifice and high IQ people know that so they'll dance around the issue and say it's because they don't earn enough but the reality is that they just aren't willing to take the lifestyle hit that everyone else is willing to take. They do earn enough they just don't earn what they want.
>hat's part of the issue, most people do not earn a "decent wage", and nowhere near enough to support a whole family on a single incomeI live in one of the poorest parts of the UK, consistently ranked low in all outcomes of life and I see low IQ retards breeding all the time and being able to sustain it. Chavs who will have everything on finance, have a holiday every year to ibiza etc and they manage to make ends meet. The GF typically stays at home or has some shitty job like retail or beautitian. They will no doubt get housing benefit but I have spoken to a few of them who decided for the wife to quit work because childcare would be too much. Meanwhile the couples in my family are entering 35y/o territory both parties earn a very good wage with careers, yet they have no kids despite being in a much more capable position to have them.
>it's possible to do meth for 40 years and still be kicking.Having kids is a sacrifice and always has been, people don't want to give up their quality of life but blame it on other factors than just being honest.
