Which makes them disposing of Lillard for literally nothing but cap space all the more damning of his utility. That's a tacit admission you're not good any more and probably never will be again. But part of the problem was that the only way for them to keep him was at that number which was a situation unique to Milwaukee. If he goes anywhere else for like vet min it's a different discussion. But he apparently didn't want to admit how toast he is so he went back to the only team that would offer him some money and punt all of next season like it didn't even matter. Because I guess it doesn't. Portland is shit now they'll be shit later, and they'll be shit three years from now so fuck it, I guess.
