Makes sense, late 90s - early 2000s was an optimistic era when internet was still an emerging technology that more and more people had access to. Internet wasn't as consolidated as today and social media didn't exist in the same form as it does today. World was much ''smaller'' than it is today.

I've played plenty of games imitating this era that were great, Hypnospace, Hypnagogia etc. I hope there will be more and more games like these, especially ones with low poly 3D graphics.

I also recently went back and played classics I've never played before like Planescape: Torment, Ocarina of Time and even fucking Gex on the PS1.
