Borderlands 3 is the best example of shitty writing that is heavily carried by its gameplay. I had a ton of fun playing this game. The game should have been about Typhon, who was the best part of the game for hearing his audio logs.

In b3 I got "ludo overdose" because of all that legendary weapons.

$2.99 is just the cost to start playing an extended demo. The actual cost of the game is the Ultimate edition.

The only reason gearbox has been selling everything so cheap lately and doing shit like giving away borderlands 2 for free was because they basically turned all there games into literal draconian pieces of malware with take twos recent shitty sweeping privacy policy changes.
The RoR2 community is still trying to fucking pick themselves up since this "new privacy policy" basically says they can hardware ban you if you use mods on a game that had a massive modding community prior to this.

In b1 you got around 30 uniques or so, each purple/unique was a great deal most of the times.
In b3 you just got tons of them, and all of them are shit, you don't get motivation for farming bosses/ doing quests. Why? You gonna get "another" shitty unique with pop-culture reference in the description.
In a game about looting and shooting the first part is almost non-existent.

“Ludo overdose” is when the game just keeps dumping loot on you until it all feels meaningless. You stop caring about stats or rarity because it’s all just noise. BL3 is a perfect storm of that-legendaries raining from the sky, all of them some flavor of mid.

Totally agree, too. Borderlands needs less Diablo trash-tier drop tables and more curated, handcrafted weapons with actual design behind them. Give me 20 memorable guns I’ll swap out for the fun of it over 200 that do +4% burn damage and quote Spongebob.

I generally don't mind if a game I purchased at launch gets a deep discount years later. The only time I feel like a sucker is when Sega puts their new October release on sale for $45 bucks a month later on Black Friday.
