This is exactly why I want Brunetto to show up in Ryoshu's canto as someone from Dante's past, because him showing up in Violence for 'Violence Against God, Nature, and Art' basically maps 1-to-1 with Ryoshu's canto both in theming and how the current Cantos line up with the Layers of Hell*.
Hell, Brunetto is doubly important since he's literally Dante's teacher in both the Divine Comedy and in reality, so him appearing for Ryoshu's canto would be awesome in my opinion and open up alot more stuff for Dante.
