Honestly I feel like NOA is a victim of it's own success and misunderstood why it was successful in the first place. I was a patron for years and years, still might technically be, and I have to say, it was a long downwards slide. People were starting to wonder if he was on drugs or something, because almost every month he was begging for cash. I think he did have a long string of some genuinely bad luck, but he went months and months without a job. There were 2 or 3 big "re-launches" of the channel that either got the boot from Youtube or just fizzled out. Sorry that he just could not get it together.

I was subscribed to him and he stopped uploading for a while, only to essentially start posting updates on his living situation as he went homeless basically. People subscribed were sympathetic at first, but it started to feel like he was begging for money and people started grilling him as that's not what they subscribed to the censored gaming channel for lol. An unfortunate loss. There are very few channels dedicated to covering topics like these now. It's probably at least partly why Nintendo's new policies went under the radar for so long. Part of the problem with Censored Gaming and channels like this in general is that Youtube's guidelines changed and started demonetizing anybody talking about these kinds of things. In the past, you could run a small channel like that off the ad revenue alone, but now most youtubers rely on sponsorships to make ends meet, and a channel that covers niche and controversial topics like japanese games getting censored because the character is underage? Yeah most advertisers or sponsors aren't gonna touch you. So you'd have to have somebody willing to do it for free and honestly it's a lot of work to put out content like that just out of the goodness of your heart.
