I despise the world building in The Legend of Korra with a burning passion. Avatar The Last Airbender had a world that was not only original but also artistically beautiful, you could truly feel it. The Water Tribes had a distinct blue color palette in their clothing, backgrounds, and environments. The Earth Kingdom was rich in green tones, while the Fire Nation was dominated by deep reds. Beyond just colors, each nation’s culture and technology were carefully designed. Earth Kingdom cities, for example, were built with earthbending in mind, just as the other nations shaped their environments to fit their bending styles and traditions. AND YOU COULD SEE/FEEL ALL THAT
Then you have Korra, which takes place in a dull, generic setting that feels like a lifeless copy of 1920s New York. The world lacks the charm and uniqueness of its predecessor, and instead, it is filled with an overwhelming number of poorly animated CGI cars that make it even less appealing.
