I can't fucking do this anymore man
I played Sonic 06, Shadow, Secret Rings, Chronicles, 4 EP 1 & 2, Lost World, Forces, even a little bit of Boom
But this is the worst fucking Sonic game out of all of them. All of those games suck but my God at least they each have SOMETHING that you can enjoy. You can have fun with glitches and laugh at the story in Shadow or 06, you got an amazing soundtrack and aesthetic for Secret Rings. Even Lost World has Zeena to jerk off to and Sea Bottom Segue.

But Superstars doesn't have fucking anything. I'm genuinely baffled by this. How could they get the physics right and fuck up literally EVERYTHING ELSE. This is the worst Sonic game of all time. There are no redeeming qualities about this game.

And I can't fucking believe Sega had the gall to charge $60 for it. I need to go play Sonic 1 or something to wash this shit stain out of my mouth

My breaking point was in Cyber Station Act 1 after that mediocre as fuck level, the 3 minute long boss shows up and after beating him and getting on the capsule, I put my controller down to check my phone real quick when TEEHEE OOPSIE FAKE OUT BOSS DEATH, HAHA THE BOSS IS STILL ALIVE AND NOW YOU'RE DEAD AND YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN

You couldn't be more wrong. Superstars is torturous to play because of several key design flaws like the bosses and the over abundance of special zones but the physics are on point and the level design is serviceable to genuinely good at times. It's a strong 5 to a light 6

Almost every other game you mentioned are broken on a fundamental level. 06 is buggy to the point of unplayability, as is Boom. Secret Rings is on rails which severely limits how much you can control Sonic. 4 completely botches the physics, it has almost nothing in common with how 2D Sonic is supposed to play. Lost World and Forces have their own physics issues but more than that the level design is either horribly thought out or hilariously amateurish, neither lend themselves to a fun gameplay experience. These games are 3/10 at best and some are 0/10

Shadow is the only one worth playing and replaying, though ironically it's biggest problem is repetitive content. I haven't played Chronicles but I hear the story is bad which is unforgivable for an RPG

It does some legitimately fun ideas like the final zones reverse time limit and the fantasy zone stage. The thing that is retarded is why they decided to make stages that you just skip if you are playing it normally and dont have a certain character at the time that is the only one to use it. Should have just auto swapped you to that character. It absolutely could have been refined more, but as far as modern sonic is concerned, it gave me more entertainment than rage.

Sonic XL is the best classic game

I picked it up for ps4 for 20 bux when i was getting some other games and I got my money's worth of enjoyment out of it. I paid 10 for Forces and I still feel like I paid 9 dollarydoos too much for that. Playing coop though looks like it would be absolutely unplayable nonsense. Yeah it’s absolute ass. I like that they finally brought Fang back out of the vault and the new character Trip is cute. But there’s nothing else salvageable about this piece of shit.
