I've beaten it 100%, including grinding for the Power Star Gaddget. The game itself is less like a MP experience and more like a personal adventure; one that wants to fuck with you every step of the way. The singleplayer campaign has fun minigames and unique challenges to unlock gaddgets, but there are a few weird gimmicks that can make it frustrating to traverse the map.
Bobby loves to displace you on the map or force you into Rock Paper Scissors and remove Mushrooms. Oh god the Shroom System... The campaign runs on a mushroom system that fuels your car. Every turn you need to use a mushroom up. Once in a while you'll play a minigame for more mushrooms, either by Tumblr or Bobby (Bobby will steal a shroom if you lose). If you run out of shrooms, the game is over. If you're running an errand, the progress is gone. The board itself has ways to roll more dice to save shrooms, which I admit is fun if you are able to chain the dice spaces for a big die combo.
The Gaddgets you unlock are essentially little single-purpose mini toy. One could be a fake pair of lips to put over your mouth (if you have the cart), growing mushrooms, watching Poochy, smashing shit, delving underground, make morse code, craft bead patterns, play tiny minigames, and my personal favorite: A picture of Bowser's Footprint. Not all gaddgets are equal, because some are stupid or useless gimmicks like a faux flame, a set of 3 hourglasses, a fake screen cleaner, a snowglobe, a Slide Puzzle, and the worst of all: A Fan. It doesn't cause a breeze, it's just a pretend fan blowing no air whatsoever.

Bowser is still the best character. 7/10

Waluigi fans are literal band wagoners just riding the highs of him being good once and a while, Luigi have have been here ffrom the start surging since birth

Mario Tennis introduces a character called Waluigi alongside Wario in the intro. This in of itself is not a big issue, but this game ultimately serves to create the spin-off roster that the Mario games today are still using.

What kind of irks me is honestly that Waluigi is introduced in this game. He doesn't have any kind of build up, he just serves as Wario's tennis partner. If this game was pulling from the cast of Mario characters, no matter how obscure they were at the time, why not pick Captain Syrup as a tennis partner? Maybe the logic there is that Captain Syrup and Wario are rivals, but even still, we know Camelot wanted to create "Wapeach" and "Wadaisy" characters as well before Miyamato shot them down.

Waluigi is just... a pretty useless character all things considered. He only really exists as a character created to satisfy the weird crossroad between Wario and Luigi, who are both warped versions of Mario. Wario exists as a bad version of Mario, Luigi exists as a brother to Mario and as a player 2. Waluigi's purpose essentially means that he could be two things:

A evil version of Luigi.
A friend to Wario.

Ultimately... he's not really either. Rarely are Waluigi and Luigi ever given screentime to establish a real rivalry and Wario and Waluigi's friendship feels so tangential because it never really goes anywhere.

This might stem more from a lack of development but Waluigi is ROSTER FODDER. The games never really set up his character and for 18 years the character has languished without purpose.
