if its an accurate representation of where we are going, its no longer a critique of things using extreme farce, its just an accurate read.
it lessens it, it makes it a depressing potentiality instead, its Brave New World with robot arms and more grunge.
this is fine but like I said, it means our world is already a dystopia and Cyberpunk no longer is a "dystopian future" its just "our future, but actually better, because our real future will likely be way more boring, way more soul crushing, and have zero 80's grunge future charm".
TLDR, Cyberpunk is actually more idealistic than our actual trajectory and likely a better world to live in than our world now+25 years.
