This is the second Japanese game that I know that has a collab with Fender.
Not sure why Fender specifically though, when Japan has their own guitar brands that are known across the world.

Because Fender wants to make pushes into the region and cross-promotional merch does very well there. Same reason Magic the Gathering are crossing over with Japanese brands and contracting artists known for YGO and Pokemon.

The Telecaster is all about the bridge pickup, always has, always will be.
But that said, Keith Richards makes his rock pretty hard with a Gibson PAF in the neck.

Fender Japan guitars often rival US produced in terms of quality, but definitely in terms of creativity.
The amount of cool tie-in guitars they've done is impressive, and the paint jobs are almost always incredible.

It made me check the prices for the Made in Japan Fender, in Japan. With how low the yen is, they are fucking cheap, like half the euro price. (118k yen for a Stratocaster). I also wonder if you can get the 10% free tax if you buy it there.

Haven’t touched Milds yet, but if they went back to the World style of HH instead of the much more newbie-friendly one they had in Rise, I’m not surprised they didn’t bother with making a collab weapon. Nobody plays HH, but Rise had the best shot of making it simple for casuals to El Kabong monsters and Capcom’s retarded for scaring them off again.

Why was there no weapon design contest? Where are the good events that give you cool looking weapons and armors? And if there's not a DD2 collab, then what the fuck? I thought that'd be so obvious it wouldn't even need to be mentioned, but I get the feeling it's not actually gonna happen.

Casuals stopped giving a shit about Rise HH because it was too braindead and boring even for them, after the new toy syndrome wore off it went right back to being one of the least used weapons in the game. Reverting it back was one of the few good things Wilds did (which is ironic considering " too braindead and boring even for casuals" is a good way to describe Wilds itself).
