I got addicted to Shaman tanking in Turtle despite the server's other flaws. It's by far my favorite class in the game, now. I was worried I might be cursed to never be able to enjoy any other server because it's such an esoteric change to make, but it actually looks like Epoch has literally ONE change to TBC talents that might make it feasible.

Ghostlands would've been god tier since that lets you have an alternative to the Barrens. But they've already said they will never add blood elves, draenei or any content from TBC. I feel like the dungeons from 1-60 are going to be essentially dead. They made all open world mobs and dungeons a lot harder which is good, but making dungeons and mobs a lot harder means you're going to need to be in tank and healer spec to do them and dual spec is 1k gold which means you obviously can't dual spec while leveling so you'd have to level as a tank or healer to do dungeons.
In classic you could get away with tanking or healing in dps spec and even then it was hard to get groups since no one wants to tank or heal, now you're going to have to be leveling as dedicated tank or healer to do dungeons and its just going to make it way way way harder to get groups. Doing non dungeon content as a tank or healer was already miserable in classic but now it's going to be even more miserable because open world mobs are also a lot stronger.

In your mid 50s you should be gearing up in your pre bis which is also more dungeon grinding which should get you to max.

I think the reason they didn't is cause of how they designed the classes. In TBC each spec had a niche or utility that they excelled at that other specs didn't. In the case of tanks Pallies were great at aoe tanking but bad at single target, while druids were good at cleave fights and dealing with certain types of mitigation

this is what they would've done in vanilla but they were too lazy to finish all the classes so we only had one functioning tank, which was warrior obviously. Shaman tanks would've just been redundant with the TBC/vanilla design philosophy

There's a hidden buff applied to all mobs starting from level 15 that gradually increases their health and damage as levels go up (elites get a bigger boost), which maxes out at around 20-30% at 60 IIRC, so it won't really be drastically more difficult.
