Because Leva and Klukai had the absolute best stories and characters in GFL1 and were the number one standout characters. And unlike Springfield, who explicitly wants SKK to be monogamous, they're okay with sharing him (eg. Leva encouraging Klukai with SKK at the end of Aphelion, and then Klukai saying nothing when SKK stays overnight with Leva on Lover's Day).

The fact that Lenna also openly hits on SKK despite knowing this means she's probably fine with sharing too. And I do fully intend to get Lenna and Belka as well. But I've got Klukai at V6R2 and I wasn't to get Leva to at least V6R1 as well.

Klukai got added 3 months early, so content hasn't caught up. Trust me when I say that if you've played GFL1 you would know that Mica knows how to make challenging content.

Because in GFL1 the story chapters and Event stories were difficult and had difficult bosses and people got WALLED hard. Ch10 Judge, Agent in whatever that event was, Gustav, it all cockblocked people out of the story, and you can literally track player retention falling each time that happens.

Challenge Maps should be separate from story maps. Let people (including new accounts) get through the event stories. Especially when half the events are stand alone, it sucks to join the game and not be able to participate in he ongoing event.

What're you talking about? The only daily mission that you have to actually do is the Platoon one and you can still skip that if you don't care about Papasha. Everything else is just auto skipped. GFL2 dailies take less time than any other gatcha I've ever seen, it's like 30seconds total, plus maybe a minute for the Platoon one.

I completely agree about the previous events being inaccessible. I've brought that up in every single survey.

That's a design issue where originally their intention was for the events to all be side stories and the main story to be the only important story.

It's a nice, elegant design that would have worked for most games, but was a fucking terrible idea for GFL2 (eg. Hey, here's Makiatto! She's in the game now! You can roll for her and put her in your team! And here's her event story... it's a completely separate minor side story where she never once meets or interacts with SKK. And now that it's over, will she ever show up in the main story? Will we even see her again? Who knows!? Woo!).

So, obviously that didn't work at all, so they've pivoted back to GFL1 where the events are part of the story, but that's meant they've had to redesign the UI and systems, as well as the back end, to put the past events into the main story. It's actually not just Soujourners, Aphelion is in the record room too.

I believe the issue with the past events is getting VA work done on them for the global releases. They should be up soon(tm). It's something they've acknowledged and are fixing.

Calling it Xcom is a bit of a misnomer. It's not Xcom, that's for sure, there are no hit % (but you do Gain defense buffs from covers) but there some fun to be had clearing challenge maps with shit weapons or without overleveling. Try it i guess.
Anyway, arknights is one with decent-ish gameplay, the getting all stars in maps can be a fun challenge (provided you just don't dump stats and overlevel).
Again, you can have a modicum of fun playing these things if you take it easy and try to clear content with self imposed challenges or being a F2P. I enjoyed doing that in some games, like FEH.
But then again, it's your addiction, you decide how you engage with it.

This is the only gacha I dropped out of pure despair.
I started playing when Klukai's banner was out and I had 6 days to get her. To make things worse apparently I had been playing on the chinese version on my phone so I installed it on my PC and restarted with one day less. I burned through all content I had available in both versions with my newbie accounts yet it was literally on the last day a couple of hours before maint started when I got her on PC but never on phone so I unistalled it.

The same shit happened with Mechty and Vector last 10 pulls of over 160 Every single content I had access I ran it to get the free collapse pieces to have a chance to get them it was horrible. Not even Nikke made me experience that feeling of being at mercy of the system. Needless to say I wasn't going to swipe.

When the idol chick arrived like in may I felt confident yet I never got her despite hitting the 80 rolls pity twice. So I gave up and now I don't know if I want to torture myself to do this again.

I like it, I find the gameplay really fun.

Unilike XCom there's no %hit autism. Instead the strategy is about team building and synergies, where there's far, far, far more customisation than any XCom game.

Your units all have unique skills, they have elemental types, you can custom fit which weapons they use, along with the type of attachments, squadmates etc.

Most people just follow guides, but if you want to get into the weeds, there's weeds to get into. No harm in trying it out for yourself, although the story content is all pretty easy so everyone can just get through the story. The challenge content mostly happens at Max level.

i advise you to stay away from gfl2 if you actually want to play a game. gfl2 is auto menu navigating simulator. At the start you do have some xcom like gameplay but as you build your units that all gets thrown to the trash. You just auto everything. and even if there is some sort of challenging combat or a new mode where you can't use your own uints.. it's pointless. you spent hours and hours autoing that when you go back to play manually.. it feels like shit. I will admit the units are sexy af and have great skins but everything else is dogshit. also the story presentation is full on vn slop, you spend money for these high fidelity character models but have static images with word vomit as the "story" even things that should be shown in game like a fight scene or a cool infiltration scene is just told to you through text.
