My launch switch 1 was modded to hell and back and my retarded younger brother even launched games while connected to the internet and I never got banned. Because you last heard it for the Switch where it was also true. Switch is locked fucking HARD, so hard in fact that unless you have a launch model which has a panic-handler you can trigger by shorting one of the rails on the right joycon slot, you're stuck putting a modchip in. And Nintendo will still ban you pretty swiftly if you're not smart and don't take all proper precautions.
