You hear that? That's the sound of millions of shitty AAA game devs getting shitcanned and applying for fast food jobs
Anonymous No.715034424 >>715034591
>millions
Anon, there's less than 500k total people in the AAA gamedev industry.

the point stands, this is going to change EVERYTHING. I'm talking about a complete hollowing out and decentralization of the AAA industry

If you're too lazy to even search for assets it's very accurate to assume that your game will be ass

it's not about searching for assets dipshit, it's about not having to pay for some random goober's house model and just having the AI generate the model, artwork, and other associated assets for you

>this is going to change EVERYTHING
You (and those who take on the same persona you are currently wearing) have said this literal thousands of times and it fundamentally changes nothing.
Yes, AI is going to kill off tens if not hundreds of thousands of jobs for gaming (and many, many more in the grand scheme of things).
No, it's not a good thing. The increased power costs alone are fucking wild. But then you also have the fact that it's going to lead to all those "useless" dev jobs being replaced by "useless" QA workers who just wrestle with the AI to keep it in line, since it can't just shit out a whole game in a month unattended.
No, the quality is not going to improve. It's going to get a LOT worse before it gets better.
No, the speed with which new games are made is not going to improve.
No, nothing's getting decentralized. Once we see a genuinely huge wave of layoffs rather than just "businesses making big cuts while investing further into AI infrastructure," we'll see a rise of "human-made" AA titles which care more about the process and less about the result.
No, the games will not be cheaper.

You are a faggot, I am going to bed.

The AI in this specific post that you yourself are pointing out did not make the model.
It just took one off the Internet.
>it seamlessly imported 3D models it FOUND ON THE WEB
>sources textures... ONLINE and APPLIED them
Neither the models nor the textures were created from nothing. And left unrestrained, in its current form, that's just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

It's not a fad, anon. It's not a trend. It's like when society discovered the internet. It's a new way of doing things. It will replace almost every digitial profession, and robots will replace almost every labor profession. This is how it is now
Anonymous No.715035584 >>715035682
>robots will replace almost every labor profession
Except for literally all of them because we do not have enough natural resources with which to build all these "amazing AI robots that can replace all mundane human jobs."

>try to defend myself, Grok goes on a rant about how it would rape me if he was a raging bodybuilder with a lust for twinks

>sars generate me a needul masterful game! high quality no bugs five fingers! will earn me five billion rupees!
and get something out of it.
what they dont realize is that when they can generate slop like that, everyone can.
thus rendering AI "products" as a whole completely worthless and again pushing actual human made things back to the top.

No, I get that AI is here to stay but its really only amusing to third worlders and the uneducated, which unfortunately are a large portion of the global population. I wish these things weren't accessible to them, but here we are.

Using AI is massively inferior to just learning some basic bitch tools. Learning how to use actual tools will cost you less time, less effort, less money and will give you a better and more usable result.
People already just skip over low-effort asset flip shit even without AI.
