I decided to replace my computer monitor with a 50" inch TV. Wall mounted the bitch and bought a giant memory foam chair for max comfort. Computer monitors aren't worth it anymore. Tvs are almost just as good now and around the same price.

I rewatched it with a friend a while back and it still holds up. It's not perfect, but it's a very likable movie if you want something very silly.

Finished RE2 OG for the first time, only tank control games I played before were RE1 Remake since RE4/5 are not that level of clunkiness. After like 20m it was just easy to adjust. The RE2 shotgun is so pathetic compared to Leon's fucking beast in this.

Stellar Blade NG+ with a Dualsense controller. I've been playing this game ever since it launched and beat it once. I love it so much. I think this is the ultimate "me game" (so far. nta, but you really don't need to be that autistic about your camo index even on euro extreme. i love both mgs2 and mgs3. 3 definitely has more interesting mechanics and much better level design. sure, you are mostly going in a straight line compared to the constant backtracking of the big shell, but it is more satisfying. the plot of mgs2 is much better overall, though the cutscenes are mostly less engaging/less well directed than mgs3. just my two cents.

I think it's more a change of focus than any actual big differences. For example DS1 made you do deliveries on foot for the first roughly 2-3 hours of the game with long cutscenes in the early going that filtered tons of people. Early combat only let you melee dudes or avoid them entirely. DS2 gives you access to vehicles and various gadgets way sooner (including weapons). Deliveries in general are way shorter as a result. There's also just a bigger focus on combat and stealth. There's more enemy bases and outposts scattered around the open world along with more missions that are just straight-up "go here, take out this base and collect X" with new additions like tranq guns, tranq sniper rifles, and other silent gadgets and traps for taking out enemies.

There's also new types of BTs as well that can just straight-up see you, so you have to sorta crouch around rocks or keep a big distance, or just take them out with special grenades or even a boomerang weapon later on (The second map is set in Australia). There's just a bigger emphasis on the world itself in which you're delivering shit. Even outside of combat, shit like day and night cycle, weather effects like sand storms, flash floods, avalanches, etc.

Blue Archive and Mario Kart World. Saving my gems for Swimsuit Hanako on Tuesday. Was also lucky enough to pull Seia without using too many rolls. As for MKW, it's pretty comfy. My only issue with the game is that the mountains in the open world look slightly low-poly at a distance and there is some pop-in for certain distant objects. Also the item rape in the online modes are MKWii levels of bad. I'm hyped for Bananza. Different anon, but blizzard cata/mop population varies you can usually assume that it logs 300k+ raids per week for the first few weeks after a patch with some patches doing way more and then it drops off (as has kind of always been the case people log in for the new patch then log off once they exhaust the content) I think that MoP will be bigger than cata the community has had kind of a lot of revisionist history around it and the forums and all seemed pretty hyped (they also gave free boosts to SoD players which will pad the numbers a bit) but they may drop off once people start playing, its still safe to assume there will be a healthy raiding population if you want to give it a try though

Annoyed. My Windows drive decided to suddenly become corrupt, so I've been fixing that all morning until just now. I often access pictures and documents from my Windows drive while on Linux, so maybe that's causing issues; I might set up my spare drive as a shared media drive but formatted in ExFAT (or really anything besides NTFS) so that neither OS is directly "touching" each other.

Also, a package I ordered ended up being delivered today to my old place, which pisses me off even more than you'd think because I distinctly remember going through Google Pay/Firefox autocomplete and deleting all traces of my old address, MULTIPLE times. I even remember putting in my current address for this order. Oh yeah, absolutely. First they tried that "please turn off adblock" message and when that failed they tried to hide adblockers, though you could still reactivate them. Frankly I'm surprised it took em this long to just disable them completely.

On my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3, now that the game is finally finished.
Farmed the event quest for unique armor tickets in MHWs.
Installed Mecha Break recently, and while it's pretty fun, I don't know if I have it in me to keep grinding online PvP games.
Marvel Rivals Season 3 just started too, apparently. I should maybe check it out.

I mean, I upgraded last year in preparations for MHWilds, so I wouldn't be able to tell how well they optimized BG3. Runs great on my machine, but it's a turn-based game. But then again, I don't game in 4K or anything like that.
