Genshin is the only real answer. Almost everything else is some auto play bullshit and not a real game. ZZZ has decent gameplay but the gameplay loop is boring as fuck which is why they've had to revive it like three times and it just keeps bleeding players. I play Genshin, HSR, ZZZ and PGR. A few months ago, I would have said that my motivation to play each of them would be : Genshin > PGR > ZZZ > HSR. But now it's more like : Genshin > HSR > ZZZ > PGR.
I still love Genshin just as much, and I grew to appreciate HSR more due to the recent story updates being better and also having characters that I actually look forward to in the future.
But ZZZ 2.0 was overall pretty meh. The open zones were alright, Yixuan is fun to play and the cinema event was nice, but the story was OK at best and at worst, the temple management was boring and repetitive and the constant stutters on PC were horrible.
As for PGR, I guess the novelty of repeating the same character rotation while being untouchable for every single has finally worn out, and I miss the early days of the game where you actually had to pay attention to the ennemy moveset and it actually felt like an action game instead of a cutscene simulator. The integrated patches with multiple patches worth of content shoved in in order to catch up with the chinese version certainly did not help, since it just ended up speeding my feelings of burning out.

I've only played a handful of gacha,
Etheria Reset, P5X, Girls Frontline 2, Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering waves, Sword of convallaria, Black Beacon.
Etheria Reset I quit after an hour because it's just all auto battle shit, I knew I wasn't going to enjoy it and the overworld shit was a cheap knock off of Persona and felt clunky to use.
P5X I'd say avoid if you want to play on global. They are doing scummy shit like accelerated banners to try and catch up to CN while nerfing the rewards we get because somehow it's out fault that we release after CN and have foresight on what banners to pull and skip.
GFL2 has nice dolls and skins, pretty generous, is doing accelerated banners to catch up to CN and you can tell it's kinda dogshit because of it. I am in the process of dropping this game. Early on gameplay is nice and reminiscent of Xcom. Once you play for a while your units get so strong that you just auto everything. max level is 60 and all new story content is level 10-40 max.
Black Beacon treated global like afterthoughs so I dropped.
Sword Of Convallaria is p good and you can solely play the single player aspect if you want a good Tactics RPG.
ZZZ and Wuwa are the only gacha I enjoy playing and see myself continuing. ZZZ's main issue is too many sexy units, back to back. Wuwa has killed a lot of good will from me for blatant censorship, no compensation and being quiet about said censorship and then having the gull to release bikini skins. Not buying since there i no assurance they won't be censored without warning. Also had a dogshit anniversary event.

Wuwa has good visuals, QoL, combat, generous gacha and tolerable endgame, but story, quest, lore and characters are all boring and bland.
Hoyo games are pretty much opposite of that.
Other gachas are png collector visual novels.
Hope Endfield and Promilia come out soon and won't suck.

Who the fuck did you pull for? Only recently with cartethyia was I finally able to clear everything in the endgame. from the limited I have Carlotta, Cantarella, shorekeeper, Ciac, Carte, Camellya. And I know some people clear with a 6 dupe 4star but that's unrealistic and shouldn't be the expectation.
And by needing specific teams i'm talking about how they made zani NEED phoebe, carte want Ciac to a lesser degree, and lupa want brant+changli, the other 2 are not as agregious as the Zani interaction I will admit but we still have a lot of elemental buffs not in game yet and I don't like how it was added solely so that 1.0 units don't have synergy with the new units.

It doesn't. Obviously Genshin has a lot less dynamic mechanics for active combat. It can't really compete with wuwa on that. They've been trying to make more interactive enemies as of late, but in my personal opinion it's been a change for the worse if anything. The game's combat is just not well suited for complex enemy movesets.

read above^. I'm not talking about the active combat. I'm just saying the actual planning and team building is a lot more involved in Genshin because the combat system mechanics are a lot deeper. Obviously once you get to the actual combat Wuwa is a lot more engaging, but to me the teambuilding is around 40 to 50% of the fun, so for me they both fill their niches quite well and I enjoy both for different reasons.
