Any time someone says Sonic 3 was a good SA2 adaptation I immediately remember all of those scenes. They have to be actual, literal children to say such things, right? You can't possibly be this delusional. And I say this as someone who likes SA2 but fully acknowledges that is objectively not a good game, and has a story that is not very well written. The story was not Shakespeare by any stretch. But the way the movie constantly undercuts itself with these goofy ass scenes with Jimbotnik makes it nearly impossible to take seriously. And SA2's story was already asking a lot for me to take it seriously to begin with. And don't even get me started on the constant Ian-tier references. Just baffling shit, all around. But it made a gorillian dollars so I guess that's all that matters.
