Mejiro Ryan’s unique is the same as Seiun Sky’s. It has the same activation point, however, it requires you to be 6th instead of 1st. As such, you don’t want your Late Surger to get too far ahead, so your speed skills will mostly focus on the last leg. Gold City’s unique is another possible acceleration, and El Condor Pasa (Fantasy) and Mayano Top Gun (Bride) sometimes work too. Mejiro Dober’s is often the same as Ryan’s, but allows you to be 5th as well.

Seiun Sky’s unique is the other key acceleration skill and is basically what makes Front Runners a viable PvP style at all. It works when the last spurt starts on a corner. In order to activate it, you must be in first place, so you should focus on stacking middle leg speed skills in order to keep your lead.

It's real that in gacha games with reroll potential getting the good shit right away will set your shit up right away. But think about it, even with a 3-minute relatively painless reroll process like in this game, you can potentially be rerolling for hours, banging your head against the wall, for a game you're not sure you'll like long term
And beyond that, for casual players just following someone with a 4LB Kitasan is likely just fine... and the regret from not doing that will probably only come several months later when you've properly committed

It's painfully easy after you get a good set of cards, some decent parents with 2-3* sparks, and a good feel for the career.
I usually have 3 speed cards, 1 wit or speed depending on preference, and then the last two being power and/or stamina depending on distance.
Parents will come with runs so just keep pushing through because eventually you'll get that sweet 3* speed spark and you'll get like 200 free speed per run for free and it's very hard to lose.
