This.
Being such a fucking mongoloid that you're literally incapable of looking up r/Ublock or something like that on your favourite search engine, for the inevitable thread of them complaining about the same problem you have - and subsequently posting the workaround for you to follow in 2 minutes - is genuinely pathetic.

It's because of Manifest V3 >>>/g/
New bullshit from Google to nerf extensions on Chromium based browsers, specifically targeting ad-blockers as they're by far the most popular types of extensions and Google makes a killing on ads. You can still side load extensions, switch a Chromium browser with a built-in ad block like Brave or Vivaldi, or just switch to a Firefox browser.

I switched back to Firefox when they announced, it's not even different, I just get fucked by Google less and don't have to worry about my extensions randomly getting killed.

you have to remember that a vast VAST majority of people using technology do not put in the effort to change their defaults. It used to be common back in the day for people to switch off Internet Explorer because it was shit, but there were still plenty of tech illiterate boomers that couldn't figure out that other options even existed. As far as they knew, IE WAS the internet. Phonefags are a whole nother breed of technically illiterate.

I thought Google disabled ublock origin (and other extensions) years ago? Are they only just now rolling this shit out for third-world countries?

Anyway, use Firefox, retard. Whatever bullshit you've heard about it, ignore it. It's always been the best browser available. Get ublock origin. Get greasemonkey and 4chan x extension.

Avoid Brave and other Chromium based browsers, but if you insist then know that you're gonna need to install ublock origin on it anyway, and you still have to get it via the Google app store as of right now. The crippled retarded built-in adblock they use is NOT powerful enough even though they're using the same lists. And because of that you should be using Firefox anyway.

Lack of advertising and not forced on everyone's devices will do that to you. Same with why Windows is more popular. People even know more about the Chrom alternatives than Firefox. Even fucking Safari has started advertising.

Brave's built-in adblock is not powerful enough to block all ads, which means you still have to rely on a now outdated Google App Store ublock origin which was never as powerful as the Firefox version to begin with.

Brave cripples ublock's zapper so you can't properly choose *exactly* what needs to be gone from a site. This is more of a "ublock on Chrome" issue, but I blame Brave for it anyway.

Brave can't implement a proper screenshot tool because they're retarded. On Firefox all you do is right click and "screenshot". On Brave, you have to click the "share" icon on the adress bar and "screenshot". Same procedure, but much more retarded on the retarded Brave browser.

Constant pestering me about "Brave bucks", "Brave vpn", "Brave keeping me safe", "Brave Leo" (their AI), etc. etc. is annoying.

This, the built-in adblock is nice on mobile iOS but it has no application outside of that. You're better off disabling it, and that's Brave's big feature. So why even use Brave when you have to do that? You shouldn't, just switch to Firefox or use any other Chromium browser and just sideload UBO.

they've been marked as temporary since v134 and everyone kept saying "LMAO they'll remove them in 135...136...137...138", and they're still there

eventually they'll remove them and this method will stop working, there's no denying that, but as long as they're there and it works, who cares?

That's normal, the temporary flags usually stick around for a few versions of Chrome for compatibility reasons. They'll be totally gone in the regular builds in August and Ungoogled Chromium will drop them at around the same time. Like you don't have flags from 98, right? There was on for that I used but it's definitely gone now.

The issue with this is that ublock origin had been so heavily optimized at this point
Manifest v3 means that every block rule now has to go through the declarativeNetRequest API, meaning that the browser itself decides on whether it will block something or not, so if Google one day decides they don't like a specific rule they can just stop allowing it through.
They also have hard rules on the amount of blocking rules that an extension can ship with.
They took away the control extensions used to have so adblockers using Manifest v3 will be slower and simply not work as well.
Thankfully people pushed back and some of the decisions that they wanted to go with were changed because of all the backlash they were getting but they still pushed the rest of the Manifest v3 shit on everyone.
There's a reason this is called lite.

That shit was completely blown of out proportion by tech-illiterate redditors who do nothing but snort headlines all day. Firefox has always had some amount of telemetry for bug reporting and shit, along with a few other small things you can easily opt into or out of. That meant they needing to "admit" they were "sharing data" according to some cucked EU definition, so they updated a couple lines of legalese to reflect that. Some "tech" sites wrote some shitty articles about it with clickbait headlines and the rest is history.

This is only a temporary fix.
Ideally what you should do is enable these just so you can get into your extensions/scripts and export them before jumping ship.

Cause once they get disabled without a workaround there's no easy dashboard to bring up anymore.

>Jesus was a Jew
This is not the gotcha you think it is. He was a Judean, yes, therefore a Jew. But ancient Jews are not the same as modern Jews.
Sephardim are Edomites with no relation to Abraham and Ashkenazim are literally central asian tribals who adopted Judaism after their chief organized a contest to determine which religion is better in the 9th century. On top of that pretty much all the modern "Jews" have heavily retconned the Torah with the Talmud (except for tiny fringe groups like the Karaites).

It's almost pointless to really compare design because Unix philosophy is basically not a design at all. It's whatever is easy, quick, and cheap for the developer with no consideration of the end user. But you will end up cucking out anyway with some half measure. Unix is about muh programs should only do one thing but most of Linux distros have systemd. Linuxtards scoff at Windows having the display server being a part of the kernel but what they have for choices is X11 and gayland. It's a complete joke. Please consider supporting Haiku instead if you want a FOSS alternative. Linux is not it.

Its not 2008 anymore, pretty much everyone and their grandparents know about adblockers now. Its why google and many sites are so aggressive now. I think there was a chart or article about how there was several hundreds of millions now using adblockers and the chart I'm talking about was like 10+ years ago.

It was fine when it actually was 10% of the population using them but now sites can barely get ad revenue and are forced to find other ways on getting revenue.

>click bait news articles
>captchas
>email and phone registrations
>many anti ad blocking methods
>and possibly soon forced ID's

I was going to not correct you but I thought I should. Whether you update your browser or not, you're effected by Manifest V3, hope this helps. You'll need to sideload every extension unpacked, under manifest v2 btw which almost 0 extensions will do, going foward. And you'll expose yourself to security vulnerabilities. Have fun tough, I know, I know, you've never had an issue. common sense 2025 or whatever bullshit you read on reddit. It's fine, security is a pretty deep topic and there's a lot of retards spewing a lot of retarded shit that you listen to, for some reason.

the amount of people using an extension like this is minuscule and will do nothing
it would at best incentivize websites to have more ads because they don't care who has real clicks or not, they're gonna get paid anyway
ad networks see more people are clicking on things so the product managers pat themselves on the back

I can't get autocontrol or swap out how to switch tabs on Firefox. That's the sole reason I don't use it.
Worst part? Those fucking niggers used to let you double click and focus a tab then you could easily swap through them all with left and right arrow keys.

Then they updated like 5-8 years ago and it's been gone ever since. Even chrome didn't let me do that shit until I fucked with autocontrol. Now I had to swap to Brave and remove all the crypto bullshit so I can keep doing shit.

I remember what got me to install Chrome in the first place, it was a damn RuneScape promotion of all things. Can't remember what you got for signing up but obviously compared to Shiternet Explorer it was a massive upgrade back then, so I stayed with it. This would have been circa 2010.
And I stuck with it all these years, even though I knew Google was evil, because it just worked and I'm only marginally better than a normalfag with computers. Adblocker is non-negotiable though, so now it's Firefox.
I only wish more people would wake up, I'm sick of everything getting shittier and shitter from how it was in the 90s and 2000s. I can't even freely browse porn sites in my hick fucking state.
