I really wanted to play Blue Archive during the Seia Event.
However the Blue Archive Steam client use an anti cheat software called Nexon Game Security (NGS) from Nexon.
For those that don't know, NGS works at Kernel level (also known as Ring 0).
Location:
>C:\ProgramData\Nexon\NGS\NGService.exe
>sc query state=all | find "NGS"
>sc query state=all | find "Nexon"
Here's an excerpt from Nexon's official website:
>NGS is the new anti hack security application from Nexon
>NGS while running, will scan, log, and send notes about any action the user takes on their system while the application is active.
>This includes recording log IP addresses, workgroups, windows versions, network credentials, hardware, hosts, libraries, current tabs in browsers, windows dialog, files, and more.
Nexon's Data Processing and Security Agreement (NDPSA) explicitly states that:
>We will store any personal data processed in connection with NGS.
>The list of personal information collected (at kernel-level or ring 0) includes:
>End User Personal Data
>Browsing History
>Images files (jpg, png, webp, etc)
>Game account
>Host file
>In-game screen
>System version
>Network type
>CPU architecture
>ROM
>Unique Identifier
>Screen resolution
>System boot time
>Country code and language
>Remaining memory
>Remaining built-in storage space
>External storage space
>Whether root or simulator running
>Application cache directory
>Application package name
>Process name
>Application version
>Startup time
Here's an example of Nexon admitting that they monitor your browsing history:
>We're constantly monitoring sites you have visited, be aware that you could be flagged as 'potential hacker' by our automatic anti-cheat tools.
>Please, understand that actions like logging-in on those sites or even attempting to connect to them using your internet browser may result in serious consequences which can lead to a ban
