there was nothing wrong with df, and no, noone cares about the story. Gameplay wise it was alright but a bit overtuned in season 1 with the insane thundering affix, augmentation got out of control in season 2 etc. Bad thing honestly was the lack of a real 4th season. We used to get 4 raids per expansion, but not anymore I guess.

War within didn't really change the formula much even with Delves, though they are a welcome addition. The real bad part about this expansion is the lack of a new megadungeon, maybe they are devoting more resources to the new housing thing. Also, the mini patches for War Within are beyond empty, literally rehashing BFA content.

I really only play for a few weeks after a patch comes out but as a newish player I don't get why wow players give Blizzard such a pass for the sheer amount of bugs, hotfixes, and nerfs that come out every single patch.
Players get early access and report bugs in their free time and Blizzard ignores it. It's truly baffling from a somewhat outside perspective.

I tried it when it released, and holy shit I lost any interest in it extremely fast, once I got to the third underground cave where the amputee nigress is, I literally couldn't get myself to play ever again, all my will to play the game just evaporated in a couple of hours in it.

The entire expansion thrives on reused content. If it's not something like Horrific Visions making a comeback or Lorewalking literally having you redo 18-20 year old quests, the raids themselves reuse the enviroments already existing in the overworld, just throwing some raidbosses in there, instead of designing full raid instances from scratch.

If you've been playing WoW for the story in any capacity since Cata I don't know what to tell you. TWW is great gameplay wise, DF was too. It's just BFA and SL being back to back bad expansions that made a ton of people permanently drop WoW.

Mythic+ dungeons were fun in legion but for whatever reason they decided to kill almost every single fun aspect about them and make them way too tight and torturous.
