With Umamusume taking the world by storm.
How much money did SEGA miss out on by not making their Chao game. Complete with Chao Races and the Chao Garden and whatever other facilities they could add considering it'd be a standalone game.

Or would it never succeed because the Chaos are cute fantasy creatures instead of sexy anime girls?
I know sex sells, but cute sells too. I think Chao Racing really could have been huge, but now Horsegirl Racing kind of ate up all the market shares first.

The most prevalent theory is that chao(s) are related to chaos from SA1. Which as of frontiers is an alien.
Even in SA1 we see him protecting them in the past, and they hang out around the master emerald. Also if they reincarnate enough they end up looking like this.

Yeah. They're called "chaos chao" by players, but I don't think that name every officially comes up.
I suppose you could argue they are just mimicking chaos' appearance, since tails/amy/knuckles chao all exist too. But it feels a bit more deliberate than that given the SA1 stuff.

It's obvious that Sonic team have no interest in recreating the Chao system and are also too stingy to outsource it to someone like Hardlight.

Forget SEGA, it's been more than 20 years, why haven't the fans made a chao game yet?
The devs of Sonic Adventure probably made the chao game on the side of making the actual game, it's not exactly a complicated minigame
