Just because majority of people wants something to be added doesn't mean it's good. I am all for LGBT stuff(I'm bi and have several LGBTQ+ friends on top been participating in parades) but I don't think it should be included as some kind of celebration in all settings and fiction where it doesn't fit. Like I don't need to have Made in Abyss to have some pride parade, even if it was inclusive. Same reason why I don't need to have other parts of my identity pandered to in media I enjoy. Yeah it can be cool to see Finland mentioned in vidya, but only if it makes sense. LGBTQ+ people can form a parade in OSRS by themselves if they want. But it doesn't need to be OSRS lore thing. Gielinor doesn't really need modern day idpol and sexual/gender identity stuff. Most you get is someone trying to buy a gf next to GE.

LGBTQ+ support is important and in general it should be normalized that being L,G,B,T,Q, or funny + sign is all okay. But I don't want all media to NEED to have pride parade to be CORRECT kind of media. Same reason you also shouldn't give a single fuck what Korean(and sadly some western) chuds cry about pinching gesture or what Right-Wing thinks if you criticize Capitalism or are pro-socialism. You should be allowed to express what you want and not express what you don't want.
Just because you don't have pride parade doesn't mean you are against LGBTQ+. Same as just because you don't have Finnish flag when it's our Independence Day doesn't mean you are against finns.

Not really. Older Runescape had very little gameplay and basically no multiplayer features. This shit isn't as much of a video game as it is just a test of extreme patience with no payoff other than dick measuring.

Might be an old nostalgiafag like me who started around the mid-2000's and the fact Jagex only has RS2 and RS3 now.
Though granted I only vaguely remember playing it during my younger teenage years in the computer lab with my fellow classmates. Vaguely remembered there were starting classes that affected your starting items, initial stats, and PvP was a server wide thing with a toggle that could only be used 3 times per character with a several minute cooldown and you'd start your character with PvP on or off...
and other stupid ramblings people don't give a shit about lol... only that holy fuck RS3 is a travesty.

Yep, nostalgia is a hell of a thing. Just wouldn't be the same any way because communities in general are a lot less social than what they used to be. A lot less chatting, a lot more meta and efficiency, and as the games grow older, it's harder to have quests like Shield of Arrav when most players are veterans with account attachment. Even the small things like people training magic in the wizard tower, telegrabbing in the varrock vault... and even the inefficiencies created player engagement, like leather farmers, karamja lobster runners, flax pickers, the market gatherings spamming flashing wave text to sell your goods, etc. The GE and a lot of conveniences ruined player interaction, but I suppose we live in an era where people hate the hard grind, want an easy way out, then quickly get bored over how easy it is instead of how tedious.

well back then your options were much more limited, emulators weren't well known, runescape was the biggest "game" available online for free, but now? any retard knows what an emulator is, they can download a shitty one with a bitcoin miner in it on their phone or pc with a 2 second search, and they now have access to 6000 games minimum, even on the shittiest hardware, then you have abandonware sites that exist just to easily give anyone access to hundreds of old, working games

when you start a game and it's so immediately abrasive like runescape is with its exponential experience requirements, it's not hard to imagine why the average player would choose to play basically anything else
