So where's the fake outrage for this like how we did with Microsoft?

The outrage is over on /g/. America is over and cannot compete anymore.

yes. mid-level managers for technicians and engineers. like how product managers are useless because their only job is to make nerd talk into powerpoint talk for execs.

The majority of microsoft layoffs had nothing to do with video games and the ones that did were related to projects going nowhere.

What do you mean "outrage"? I seem to recall /v/ celebrating all the useless deadweight being tossed out of Microsoft's dying gaming division...

Intel has been failing for at least a decade though, makes sense for them to lay off workers. Microsoft is just the usual evil corpo cost cutting even though it has profits up the ass.

this is precisely why
the people with money always knew that their corps weren't running at high efficiency; but they didn't care because the money was still coming in and 'fixing' it involved risks and work that they didn't care to understand (aka would rely on other people telling them what to do)

but there's been changes here and there, covid made them all invest way too much into hiring extra workers to keep up with the higher demand, and so a lot of the firings are basically just adjustments made on that front, but also elon firing 80% of twitter and twitter still running totally fine showed a lot of them that the 'experts' that kept telling them they needed 16 layers of managements for every divisions within their companies were actually full of shit, and thus they'd think 'hey why wouldn't I do that too'

also there's been a few bubbles that kept growing over the last decade, and the fear of them bursting also has a big impact on this, whether you're talking about crypto or AI or military shit, everything is absolute chaos right now in the tech industry and they want to play it safe by firing any heads they know they don't 'absolutely need'

TLDR it's not going to change anything for you unless you work in the industry, don't worry about it

It says that the layoffs target technicians and engineers and specifically NOT the mid level managers though.
